Man accused in Bergen County temple firebombings wants change of venue
HACKENSACK — The attorney for the Lodi man accused of attempted murder and aggrevated arson in connection to two synagogue firebombings in Bergen County is seeking a change of venue for the case, according to published reports.
Anthony M. Graziano, 19, plead not guilty Tuesday to charges related to the attacks in Rutherford and Paramus, which sparked concern across Bergen County and an outpouring of support for the temples that were targeted.
Graziano's attorney, public defender Robert Kalisch, told The Record that Graziano should be tried outside of the county "because of the publicity that this case has received in Bergen County and all of New Jersey."
