| March 3, 2011

SAN DIEGO — Police are trying to find the person responsible for tossing an acid bomb bottle into the parking lot of a North Park Church.

The discovery was made Wednesday around 10 p.m. in a gravel lot of Christ Chapel church in the 3000 block of El Cajon Boulevard.

Police called the bomb squad to detonate the device but when firefighters arrived they determined it had already gone off without causing any damage or hurting anyone. They said the incident is still cause for concern.
