Case opened into kidnapping of Buryatia Evangelical Church pastor

Chita, January 18, Interfax – The Interior Ministry of Russia's Republic of Buryatia has opened a criminal case into the abduction of Resurrection Evangelical Church pastor Yevgeny Medvedev in Ulan-Ude.

"The pastor sustained minor injuries. A wound on his neck was stitched up. Experts are now working with him," ministry spokeswoman Lidia Tsybikova told Interfax.

According to the pastor himself, three unknown men twisted his arms behind his back, blindfolded him, put him in the trunk of a car and took him in an unknown direction.
