| April 23, 2011

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Police say thieves are targeting churches in the Mount Pleasant area, breaking in at night and stealing anything from computers to office equipment to small amounts of cash from Sunday collection plates.

The Morning Sun in Mount Pleasant reports Saturday that seven church burglaries have been reported in April.

Isabella County Undersheriff John Tellis tells the newspaper that authorities are looking at the break-ins as being committed by the same person or persons.–Church-Burglaries-Michigan/
