Stoneville, NC — A church bus driver arrested this summer after an investigation into an alleged sexual assault pleaded guilty Monday.
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office began the investigation in July, after receiving information from a 14-year-old girl that was a passenger in a car with Phillip Madison.

According to deputies, Madison put his hand inside the girl's clothing and fondled her. He also was accused of forcefully grabbing her stomach and rubbing her thighs.
Madison, 49, of Reidsville, was charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child. He pleaded guilty Monday.
He received a 16 to 20 months suspended sentence and was placed on probation for five years. He also has pay a $1,000 fine, submit to a sex offender treatment program and register as a sex offender for 30 years.
