Church heist case solved

CHENNAI: Suburban police arrested a 29-year-old man who was wanted in more than five cases of theft in the suburban areas. His interrogation also revealed that he had broken into the Annai Velankanni Church in Besant Nagar in April and looted cash from the donation box there.

Peerkankarnai crime Inspector B Sahadevan was in the process of arresting the old accused when he came across Nataraj Ezhumalai (37) of Kancheepuram district who had been arrested by the earlier Inspector Raja serving in that jurisdiction.
