| February 6, 2012

ASHAWAY – The Babcock Presbyterian Church has been the target of a second break-in, but this time a Coventry man has been charged in connection with the incident.

Hopkinton police arrested Robert D. Tisoskey, 22, of 2155 Nooseneck Hill Road, on charges of breaking and entering a business with felonious intent and malicious damage. The arrest was made on Feb. 1. He was charged by Richmond police with two charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and conspiracy on the same day. There has been no word that the incidents are related, but the investigation continues.

Police Chief David S. Palmer said the department received a report of the church break-in Jan. 3. Doors, windows and equipment were damaged, he said. Detectives from Richmond and Westerly helped in the investigation.
