Church reports medical kit stolen

FROSTPROOF – If not for a medical emergency on Sunday, Church on the Ridge members would not have known anything was taken in a recent burglary.

Pastor Robby Weatherholt said Monday that when a paramedic with Tampa General Hospital's Aeromed helicopter — and who serves as a deacon for the church — went to grab the blood-pressure cuff from the church's medical bag, the bag wasn't there.

Apparently, burglars who had broken in through the church's back door early in the morning Aug. 22 did actually leave the building with something — the medical kit, usually kept at the front desk.
