Church to thief: Just bring equipment back, and we won’t ask questions

LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) – A Lebanon church is without thousands of dollars in equipment just days before Sunday service. The equipment was taken from their trailer that was parked outside of their new church.

The congregation has been holding church in the Lebanon YMCA while they get their new building ready. The pastor, Shane Frazier, said he's not going to let this theft ruin his plans to have good service this Sunday. But he hopes the person who took the trailer with their equipment will have a good heart and return it.

Frazier gets a little emotional as he talks about Freedom Church: "We're not going to let this slow us down."

Sometime early Thursday morning, he said, someone stole the church's trailer with $25,000 worth of equipment inside.

"It's a lot of frustration, honestly, but we're just confident that it's going to be found," he said.

Stolen were musical instruments, a projection screen and portable staging, along with 240 chairs to accommodate their large congregation. Frazier said the trailer would be emptied every Saturday night at the local YMCA to get ready for Sunday services.
