Elderly woman robbed outside church

Police are continuing to look for two suspects after an elderly woman was robbed outside a southeast London church, Saturday (Nov. 28).

The woman was exiting the Chalmers Presbyterian Church, 342 Pond Mills Rd., when she was approached by two males in the parking lot.

"The female victim was knocked down and her purse stolen," police said.

One male suspect was arrested in the area, but was later released after police determined he was not involved in the robbery.

The elderly woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the robbery, police said.

Police continue to search for two suspects: a white male, 5'6"tall, medium build with "scruffy" facial hair dressed in black clothing; and a second white male, 5'7" tall, a skinny build and wearing a toque and dressed in black clothing.
