MOUNT VERNON — An "infatuated" ex-boyfriend with a criminal record was accused today of stabbing his former girlfriend as she left choir practice at a Mount Vernon church.

Jonathan Green, 38, of 49-51 Elm Ave., Mount Vernon, was charged with attempted murder in Wednesday night's attack on Sharon Winston, 53, of White Plains.

Green and Winston broke up in June and it did not sit well with Green, Detective Lt. Vincent Manzione said.

"He was definitely infatuated with her," Manzione said.
