The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that helps its investigation into a string of church vandalisms in Bozeman.
Investigators believe the three incidents to be related and are treating them as hate crimes, due to the “sheer volume of profane anti-religious graffiti and acts of arson discovered inside the churches,” the FBI said in a written statement Monday night.
No arrests have been made in any of the break-ins. The crimes are being investigated by the FBI along with Bozeman and Montana State University police.
The first incident happened on March 8 at Kirkwood Baptist Church, 309 N. 15th Ave. The second was at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 220 W. Main St., on April 7. The third was on Aug. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1316 S. Fifth Ave.
