Former church official of historic DC church sentenced to 8 years for embezzling $850,000

WASHINGTON — The former chief financial officer of a historic church in Washington has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison for embezzling $850,000 from the institution.

Forty-year-old Jason Todd Reynolds of Bowie was sentenced Wednesday. He was also ordered by a U.S. District Court judge to repay $851,300 in restitution, as well as $185,435 in taxes to National City Christian Church in northwest.–Church-Official-Embezzlement/
