Former Pastor Accused of Embezzling $10,000 from Church

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A former pastor in Rockingham County has been charged with stealing more than $10,000 from his own church.

John Albert Jackson, 61, of 5335 Lewey Lane in Winston-Salem, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one felony count of embezzlement.

Jackson had been pastor of the Goodwill First Baptist Church on K-Fork Road in Madison since 1990. He was removed from the pulpit after church administrators said they became suspicious.,0,1857124.story
