Henderson Co. Church Robbed On Good Friday

| April 24, 2011

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. — Covenant Presbyterian Church on Kanuga Road Near Hendersonville was found burglarized on Good Friday, according to Henderson County Sheriff's Office.

Rev. Chip Vining said more than $10,000 worth of musical, audio and computer equipment along with some petty cash was stolen.

"They're in the church, at the holiest time of year when what the church has to offer is something that's permanent, not temporary, something that's truly healing, not further damaging, and they completely missed it," Vining said. "It's Jesus Christ. He offers peace."
