A Johnston teenager is in custody today, accused of attacking the interim priest of an Episcopal church.

Dakota Lee Parker, 18, is being held in the Polk County Jail on $25,000 bond. He is charged with first-degree burglary involving intentional bodily injury.

He is accused of attacking the Rev. Benjamin Webb, 56, of Cedar Falls.

Webb told investigators he heard a noise coming from the cloak room of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 3424 Forest Ave., about 10 a.m., Tuesday. Police said Parker appeared and struck the pastor several times in the head.
