SPRINGFIELD – Investigators are probing whether a fourth suspect was involved in torching a predominantly black church on the eve of the U.S. presidential election, according to a federal prosecutor.

Three men were arrested last January for setting the Macedonia Church of God in Christ on fire before dawn on Nov. 5 to denounce President Barack H. Obama's victory, according to an indictment.

Michael F. Jacques, 24, Benjamin F. Haskell, 22, and Thomas A. Gleason Jr., 21, are charged with civil rights violations in connection with the fire. The charge carries a 10-year mandatory prison sentence.
