Knifeman disrupts school church service

SHOCKED pupils and teachers were confronted with a knifeman during morning Mass.

The intruder walked in and stood in the aisle in Christ the Saviour Church, Ealing Broadway. He began playing with the knife, clapping and making comments while the service was being held for all the children at Christ Church C of E Junior School based next door.

Headteacher Beverley Joseph ordered the man to leave before teachers locked the door behind him and called police at about 10am yesterday (11).

Suzanne Fernandes, of Northfields, whose son attended the Mass, said: “The man was flipping the penknife open and closed and making inappropriate comments.
