| July 30, 2012

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) – Deputies are investigating what they are calling a hate crime after a church is vandalized Friday afternoon.

It happened in Crawfordville at Thesalonia Missionary Baptist Church, located at 223 Triplett Road.

Reverend Frederick Bell tells us authorities were there for about 2 hours, collecting fingerprints and palm prints for an investigation.

He says he has been pastor at the church for twelve years and has never seen anything this horrible.

The church was littered with paper towels and tissue paper. There was also broken glass and bulbs all over the floor as well as racist signs and messages, including a swastika on the wall.
