Lykens church broken into, computer used to view pornography, police say

| May 22, 2014

A break-in reported over the weekend at a church in Lykens may have been committed solely to use a church computer to view pornography, police said.

The break-in was discovered at the Faith EC Church at 543 Center St. in Wiconisco Township, when the church opened for services early Sunday, according to a state police news release issued late Tuesday. Police said they believe the suspect or suspects threw rocks through a church window to gain access to the building.

While state police are regarding the incident as a burglary, nothing was found taken from the church, the release states.
