Man indicted after allegedly threatening teen at church

An incident at a Port Arthur church in which a man is accused of threatening a 16-year-old with a knife is the basis for an indictment handed down Thursday by the Jefferson County grand jury.

Patrick Hebner, 38, of Port Arthur faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of aggravated assault, which is a second-degree felony. Hebner was released from the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on Jan. 19 on $25,000 bond.

According to court documents, the 16-year-old was trying to play a prank on his friends on Jan. 11 at Park Central Church of Christ on Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.
