| April 27, 2010

EUGENE, Ore. — The man charged with attempting to kidnap a 2-year-old child from a Eugene church pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Azoulas David Yurashunas stood before a judge and pleaded his innocence of a second degree attempted kidnapping charge from last weekend.

Yurashunas' parents posted a $35,000 security, so the 23-year-old is a free man.

The District Attorney's office filed a formal indictment Tuesday, charging Yurashunas with attempting to kidnap a toddler.
