Murdered at Church, Police on the Hunt for Suspect

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Police are searching for suspects in a murder of a 45 year old man found in a church.

On Friday, February 5, 2010, 45-year-old Hideki Hirakawa was found murdered in an abandoned church, located in the 200 block of Delmas Avenue, near Park Avenue, in San Jose. Hirakawa was homeless and frequented INN Vision homeless housing at 358 N. Montgomery Street. He was also known to frequent the Martin Luther King Library, located at the corner of E. San Fernando and S. Fourth streets, in downtown San Jose.

The San Jose Police Department continues to investigate the murder of Hideki Hirakawa and is seeking the public's assistance in solving the case. Investigators are looking for any additional witnesses or information. A reward has been established for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects.
