| August 15, 2009

ZANESVILLE — The Zanesville Police Department is asking anyone with information to call them regarding a shooting incident into a church early Friday morning.

According to Detective Randy Ritchason, reports show neighbors of the St. Paul Church on Pine Street reported hearing shots fired.

During an investigation, Ritchason said a slug from a shotgun was located in the church’s fridge.

“It looks like the slug penetrated the church wall and ended up in the fridge,” Ritchason said.

Anyone with information is urged to call 740-455-0700.
