| September 26, 2010

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- The fate of a man accused of stabbing a Jonesboro church secretary and stealing her purse in May 2009 has been decided by a jury.

Roy 'Ray' Anthony was found guilty on all counts Thursday afternoon, and was sentenced to 150 years total for Aggravated Robbery and First-Degree Battery.

Thursday was the second day of Anthony's trial, and included testimony from another church secretary.

Testimony came Thursday from the doctor who worked to save Vickie Jo Mueller, after she was stabbed three times in the chest.

Anthony was charged with first degree battery and aggravated robbery in the May 2009 stabbing attack on Vickie Jo Mueller at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Jonesboro.

Police say Anthony walked into the St. Paul's Methodist Church and asked Mueller for some gas money. Mueller refused, and police say that's when Antony stabbed her three times.
