ROGERSVILLE — A woman who served as treasurer of “The Bridge” Baptist Church in Rogersville was arrested Thursday accused of stealing approximately $79,000 over the course of three years.

Erin Nicole Frost, 25, 128 Reynolds Hill Drive, Rogersville, is charged with theft over $60,000.

On April 5 a church leader reported to the Rogersville Police Department that Frost had allegedly written checks to herself from the church account. Some of the checks were for cash and some of the checks noted the purchase of items that the church hadn't received.

RPD detective Charlie Gibson said in every case Frost allegedly received cash.

This was alleged to have taken place between January of 2007 until January of 2010.

When confronted by the church’s leadership team Frost allegedly admitted the thefts. She has not made a statement to police.

Frost was arrested around noon Thursday and posted a $10,000 bond. She is scheduled for arraignment on May 17 in Hawkins County Sessions Court.
