CORAL SPRINGS – Six teenagers have been arrested and charged with spray painting gang signs on a Jewish synagogue in Coral Springs. All have been charged with criminal mischief for defacing a place of worship, a felony.

Six teens suspected of spray painting gang signs on a Jewish synagogue have been arrested, police said.

Three of the teens are 14 years old, two are 13 and one is 15. The Sun Sentinel is not releasing their names because they are minors. All have been charged with criminal mischief for defacing a place of worship, a felony.

On Jan. 19, the teens spray painted graffiti on the outside walls of Temple Beth Orr, 2141 Riverside Drive, police said. Though most of the graffiti were gang-related signs, police don't think any of the teens are in gangs.

Authorities said the vandalism was not a hate crime.

The teens were arrested individually between Jan. 20 and Jan. 26.
