Suspect Identified in Church Community Center Shooting

| March 16, 2011

EDEN, N.C. (WGHP) Police have released the identity and photo of a suspect wanted for shooting a man during a party at a church community center late Friday evening in Rockingham County.

Eric Lamont Blackstock, 25, was at a going away party at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Community Center, located at 2365 Moir Mill Road near Eden, when he was allegedly shot by Akeem Laquan Clark, also known as "Quan," following an argument between the two, deputies said in a news release.

Before the victim was shot, he and the suspect were reportedly arguing about who lived in a better location, the Draper portion of Eden versus a community in Virginia referred to as "log town," deputies said.
