Parker County authorities have appealed for help in identifying thieves who stole air-conditioning units and vandalized seven local churches in the last three months.

Thieves have stolen the units or destroyed them and damaged church property, the sheriff's department said.

The most recent theft occurred Wednesday at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Aledo when suspects stole an air-conditioning unit from the side of the building in the 300 block of Bailey Ranch Road. Thieves also damaged the enclosure of the unit. Damages totaled more than $10,000.
