Woman Steals $1100 in Coins From Church

| February 25, 2011

An arrest warrant is issued for a Withamsville woman who stands accused of stealing more than $1100 from a Sharonville church. Investigators say Cassandra Fuston took the bucket of coins collected to help a local a non- profit for young mothers.

Local 12 News reporter Tiffany Wilson went to the church and to the agency they meant to help, Pregnancy Care in Clifton, for reaction to the theft.

Pregnancy Care helps about 3,000 expecting moms every year. For them, every dollar means diapers, formula and the ability to keep their doors open. So they were shocked someone not only stole from a church…but also robbed thousands of babies.

Marlee Lewis is just three months old and is one of the babies helped by Pregnancy Care. Her mother told Wilson, "They took me in, didn't know who to go. They gave me the courage to tell my mom, so they're a blessing."
